October 1st, 2021: Café Kaput continue their Commentaires series, with Volume 2 as their fourteenth album release, since the imprint started in 2010 and their second release in 2021.

Commentaires 2 is a true continuation, developing the sounds, textures and songwriting motifs that the first volume initially explored. It has become a style in its’ own right, a microcosm of sound and aesthetic that reflects small, urban spaces, concrete buildings and structures; a sense of urgency and simplicity.

Analogue synths bubble and soar, as ancient rhythm boxes pop and sizzle their way through twelve succinct pieces, getting straight to the heart of the matter from the first notes played. A must for anyone who enjoyed the first volume, released earlier this year.

Great record. wears it's influences proudly ..but retains a sliver of identity that is uniquely British and has a northern feel to it..I think that these geographic musical vignettes are realy evocotive of northern Newtown Uber estates and satellite communities..I hope this translates to a wider audience for him...he deserves the attention. give him his due .NOW . christopherogley
